It does not cover a regular dinner plate. It is not high enough I still used when I waant to cover cups or kids size plates.

How is it 'Large' when the dimension is only 8.8? I didn't order as I saw the true dimensions... and 8.8 is not large. Most are 10.5 or 11 inches.

Very well made product, much more substantial than expected for the price

However at only 9-in across this is too small to fit over a standard plate.

I am not sure why they are calling this the LARGE size.

This cover fits almost any large plate. I reheat food all the time in the microwave. As you know some meat products explode when reheated in the microwave. I can truthfully say I have not had to clean my microwave oven since I purchased this cover. It is a little awkward to pick up from the top using the knob, but that is because I am short and some genius decided to put my microwave where it was almost out of reach. I should be gratefull I don't have to stand on a stool I guess. Anyway I keep a papertowl under my plate or anything I cook and this with the cover keeps it clean. If you melt butter or margarine or a combination of both you absolutley need one of these covers. You will never ever have to clean butter off the top of your microwave again, provided you use the cover of course. It easily fits into the dishwasher for cleaning. I really really love mine.

It does not cover a dinner plate and it holds steam in and makes food soggy. also microwave is very wet after using and I have to wipe it out each time.
