These are cute and work just as you would expect. Just don't forget and turn on a burner under them, as they will change color if they get super hot (however, I did this, and I rather like the bluish tones that one now has...so :) ).

We like them real well, however we bought them for an electric range and the large plates are too large. We wound up buying another different set and mixed the small covers which looks good. Not a big deal at the price.
