I am use to using cast iron in the past and it always performs as it should heating evenly,not burning the oil and doubles as a dutch oven.

The fryer I purchased was sent with a damaged fryer insert

The shipper replaced the insert with a new insert but a different type than originally came with the unit .i actually like the new insert better than the original.Thank you for responding and taking care of the issue.

This is great! Large capacity, basket fits inside to pull fried food back out and basket has a hook to hang on the edge of the pot. Works great and comes with a lid for storing cooking oil in the pot when cool. Makes it easy to cook up Grandma's fried chicken recipe!
