I was surely taken in by the deceptive claims to withstand extreme heat up to 480F!

What a joke this product is. I baked an item for 20 minutes at 350F and could hardly make it

from the oven to the cooling rack. The heat went right through the gloves within seconds.

This is an example of false advertising. Extremely disappointed!

I thought I was getting something comparable to the Ove Gloves that are advertised on TV. The price should have told me that these were not in the same league as the orignal ones. These gloves aren't made out of nomex, but only cotton, so they aren't that heat and flame protective. But they are comfortable to wear.

Burned my hand with these picking up a hot skillet that an old oven mitt could handle. There was a drop of water where I was burned. Too unsafe if it has to be moisture free.

I don't feel heat through these gloves even if I take something out of the broiler. I don't use them every time since slipping on a pair of thick gloves sometimes takes more time than slipping on a pair of oven mitts, but all in all, I really like the amount of control they afford me when handling a baking pan that is hot and unwieldly.
