I have been a big fan of the te-fal pot sets for a while now that I recent got rid of my old one and both a new set from amazon.com so while making my purchase I decided to add this to my order. Now let me say this pan is really big and so much can be done with it. Am happy with my purchase and best of all my hubby loves it the size is great for when he wants to cook a few of his dishes.

I was looking forward to this pan, to replace our very old predecessor. I don't know if the old one was Tfal, but I figured this one had good reviews so it should be good. Unfortunately, it's awful. The pan arrived with a warped base, so it wobbles around on our electric stove (flat-top style). Our old one wobbles a little, but this one is actually WORSE! I thought heating it up might help flatten it out, but it doesn't flatten it might have even gotten worse. What's more, after heating it up, the handles got very hot, even with the silicone covers clearly these are simply too thin to be effective.

The pan is going back immediately, as it's just horrible worse in almost every way than the old 10-year old one I have! I expected similar performance as our recently purchased Tfal skillet, but this pan isn't anywhere as good as that one that one is flat and works very well. Makes me wonder if this is really a Tfal product, or some knockoff.

PS: I was looking to see the TFal "signature" waffle-pattern on the inside... this one doesn't have that, nor does it have the "temperature dot" that we have on our other Tfal pan. I expected to see one of these, but this was not a deal breaker for me. The poor performance above is the real reason for returning this.

Edit: My old, similar pan was a Farberware. Nothing fancy, but apparently much better than this one.

This is a gift purchase. My mother-in-law has been wanting a good saute pan with a lid, so I got her this along with an entire matching cookware set. She doesn't cook as much as she used to, but currently uses very cheap pots and pans. She has been wanting a set for a long while. I know she will love this!

This is a terrific product! So easy to use as it is lightweight, and, it is easy to store. This dish can take care of small as well as large food preparation. Cleans easily!

Bottom isn't perfectly flat, so oil/sauces pool along the walls of the pan. Otherwise, it's great, washes easily and heats reasonably uniformly
