Often not sure how microware cookers will work in comparison to doing things the traditional way but this steamer works well and makes the idly of comparable quality to stove top, the only difference is the smaller size of the idlies. This is awesome for those who live alone and wish to be able to make up a quick batch of idlies.

Finally, a really cool and simple idly maker. Of course, it takes some time to get the timing right. Please don't follow the guide enclosed. Just go with your gut and after the first ten minutes, go 1 minute at a time till you get idlies the way you like them! :)
