This is an attractive looking pot rack but, as you can see in the picture, the hooks move freely on the ring. I found this to be a very unstable, inconvenient and somewhat dangerous design. It is necessary to arrange the pots carefully to maintain the balance. Removing a heavy pot from one side of the rack tends to cause that side to flip up and the remaining pots to slide to the opposite side, often resulting in several pans crashing to the floor. For rarely used items it might be suitable but it doesn't work well for pots that will need to be removed & replaced frequently. I used this pot rack for about 2 years but finally replaced it with a much sturdier wall mounted model.

After looking at the large variety of pot racks listed we decided to go with this one because of its size, looks and apparent quality. We liked the size of being long and narrow as it went about a long and narrow island in our kitchen. The size is perfect and we we have 14 different pots and pans hanging perfectly on it without any crowding. It was very easy to put together..only took about 15 minutes. The whole thing is very high in quality with thick sturdy steel and large bolts. I also found it was very easy (but a bit heavy) to hang. You just need to drill 2 pilot holes into the ceiling into joists. You then screw in the hook bolts by hand and hang. You just need to make sure you have 2 ceiling joists (or one long one running the length) of where you want to put it. This is far easier to hang then trying to install one with chains. Once hung it is very sturdy and able to hold a lot of weight. As well it looks awesome in the kitchen. You won't be disappointed.Best Deals for 4 Foot Oval Hanging Pot Rack with Grid
I have too mention that this is made in China. I bought a made in USA and had to return it. So I tried. This is not perfect but close enough. Direction is terrible but nothing you can not handle. I put it together and hung it alone. One thing to remember is that when you hang it, there are two eye hooks that screw into the ceiling at 16 inches on ctr. Then you hang two more hooks off of the eye hooks. I did not see the other two and hung it from the two eye hooks first. That was a pain in the butt. That has too do with the instructions. Putting it together would be easier with two people but not necessary. I have nine foot ceilings, so the other two hooks made the unit lower for me but if you have eight foot ceilings you may want to hang it off the two eye hooks only. This will stabilize it and keep it higher. Either way.I gave it five stars because it is really nice looking and sturdy. The copper finish is coated with a clear plastic to prevent oxidation. That clear plastic will show signs of scuffing and some areas have a little discoloration. You can not notice once it is hung. Overall it looks way more expensive than it is. So I am giving it five stars. Also you only need to drill two holes to hang it unlike the wood one that I purchased first requiring four holes and reconstructing my ceiling. Let me know if I was helpful?
Honest reviews on 4 Foot Oval Hanging Pot Rack with Grid
It appears to be a very strong unit, until you start using the many included hooks. The frame of the rack is fantastic looking (love the color of the oiled bronze) and very strong, but the wire rack that fits in the center which you would hang your included hooks from is so weak, I can't even store the lids to my pots and pans let alone hang them from the hooks. For such a large expensive item, it was built very poorly. I did not return the item because of the shipping expenses involved, and i couldn't find the proper box to return it in, and I needed the item immediately. I am going to try and find a welder that can craft me a new insert for the center that won't sag, and fall out. It just can't support the weight it was intended for. Would not purchase again.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 4 Foot Oval Hanging Pot Rack with Grid
We get compliments on the rack. It looks great and is a good value. We hang over 70-80 pounds of pots and the center does sag. So I bought a length of small chain, spray painted it copper and ran it from one support hook down to the rack, across the grid a few rungs and back up to the other support hook. No sag and it looks like it was made that way.
The other small change was that although it says you can screw the two hooks into the joists, I never feel comfortable doing that so I bought a long hook with a washer and nut on the end and drilled a hole completely through the joists and attached the rack. I also have 19" joists, not 16" but it works out and looks good.
