Definitely larger than most pasta servers that I've used. One large scoop with this will fill most plates. Biggest draw back is that the handle becomes weaker (flexible) in hot water/sauce as you use it but it still works just as well if not better than most pasta servers

This thing has a huge 'scoop', but the handle is VERY flimsy. Mine broke the second time I used it. Would have been a nice utensil except for the handle...

I would not recommend this Farberware Pasta Server. There is a lot of pasta made in my household. When picking up pasta with this Farberware Pasta Server the handle bends and is very weak. The handle should never bend. The Walmart by me got in stock a different Farberware Pasta Server that I also bought and the handle on that one is much stronger.

We were looking for a replacement pasta server for our metal one to avoid scratching the surface of our non-stick pots. This has been a good pasta server that does a simple job of being able to serve lots of pasta.

It has a deep scoop and is very light. However, because of the deep scoop design it can be difficult to be able to get pasta out of the corners of a pot.

The inner diameter of the scoop is roughly 3 inches by 3-1/2 inches. The depth is about 2 inches. Yes, I measured it for you all, because I was really surprised at the size. It's a pasta ladle. As much pasta as it would hold, I doubt the plastic handle will hold up for long. Anyway, it's too big to fit inside a utensil drawer (because of the size of the scoop and the curve of the handle). I'll give mine away. It'll cost more than the price of the spoon to ship it back.
