The pan has a wonderful non stick surface and is quality throughout. Cook's magazine rated it second (am guessing it was a price issue) in their tests for enamel cooking utensils. It does require hand washing, but nothing sticks to it so clean up is easy. We intended to purchase the large and small pans to complete the set.

I ordered this as a birthday gift for my son (as he had requested it after seeing one at a relative's house several months ago) to be delivered to his apartment in NYC. FedExGround handed it over to the USPS for delivery, but that did not work and it was eventually returned to amazon. Then, I reordered it through an amazon sub-vendor, for about $25 less, and had it shipped to his work address in NYC where it was finally received without a hitch. He loves it... so easy to clean, and the ceramic avoids the fluoride problem.
