I love this baking mat for a number of reasons. First of all, it's great to be able to bake without using oil. Second, nothing sticks to the mat. There's nothing more frustrating than losing a good portion of what you've cooked because it's stuck to the baking sheet or pan.
Next, I think the grid is a great idea. Often when I'm in a hurry and I'm baking, I tend to put cookies too close to each other on the sheet. The grid will help to remind me to allow enough spacing so the cookies won't run together.
Finally, I like that the mat came rolled up in a long rectangular box which I intend to keep for storage purposes. (When not in use, the mat needs to be stored rolled up or flat.)

I have been a professional pastry chef for 14 years so i am very picky. This mat leaves behind a faint bit of silicone on your sheet pan the first time you use it in the broiler above 550. I suggest you do it before you use them. After that no residue. Never had any smell. Cooks much more evenly then the silpat. The release and cleanup are actually better then all of my silpats. It even does a better job of browning bread then the special perforated bread silpat with its special perforated pan. They also look very professional and fit the half sheet pan perfectly. The measurement and placement guides make it easy for the kids to make perfect cookies or treats. Wroks great on your pizza stone aswell but dont use a pizza roller to cut on the mat as anything sharp will cut through the mat. I even use these as prep mats for rolling out dough and making croissants. This is the best cooking utensil ever! Not only is it reusable and super easy to clean (always a great plus) it has the perfect cookie size portion on the mat to assist with the perfect bite size cookie! This mat is great for all cooking needs and was instrumental in baking Tilapia to perfection without any sticky mess to clean up! I would highly recommend this item and plan to buy some for gifts to friends and family! I've been wanting a silicone mat for a while since I'm trying to decrease the amount of waste I produce, and silicone mats can easily replace the disposable parchment paper I often use while baking. I chose to buy this silicone mat out of all the others on sale at Amazon, but not for the circles that show how far to space your cookies (although they are very convenient). The selling point for me were for the rulers along the edges of the mat in both inches and centimeters. When I bake cookies, sometimes I want to make the cookies a different size than what the recipe calls for. With this mat, I can experiment with different-sized cookies and record the results. When I find a size that works for me, I will know exactly what worked and I can ensure that the cookies will be the right size every time. The silicone and the rulers also come in handy when rolling out pie crusts. I made a pie last week and rolled the crust out on this mat, which I placed on a cookie sheet. The silicone allowed me to roll out the crust without any sticking and without extra flour, the rulers helped me ensure that the crust was the right size for my pie dish, and the cookie sheet contained the mess. This mat will be great for kneading and measuring other doughs as well (again, without too much extra flour, which can make dough tough), such as bread doughs, pizza doughs, and pasta doughs. I chose this baking sheet for one main reason, I'm tiered of buying that expensive nonstick cooking spray. We received the baking mat earlier that we expected, that was awesome. So That night me and the kids wanted to bake some cookies, so I figured I could try out our new baking mat.It worked great, nothing stuck to it and it was easy to clean, exactly what I wanted. :)
