This silverware is very pretty, but lacks depth. Some of the other reviewers said that it lacks weight or heft. The reason it is lighter is because it is so slim. I used the Reed and Barton hammered silverware at a restaurant and thought that I was purchasing the same item, but this version is not the same. All Items were in original factory sealed boxes with cellophane covering each item. They arrived unscratched and clean in new condition as advertised and arrived a few days before promised. Bought these for a wedding present for my niece, she loved the pattern and weight of the flatware. We got two of these sets, as we like to entertain. They look lovely and who needs silver anyway.The fit into our Arts and Crafts settign very nicely.
