The Vitamix info is a little unclear on what parts are compatible with what. I had an older Vitamix "Total Nutrition Center" that as far as I could tell was still compatible with the current blades and containers. However mine had 4 separate rubber covers rather than this one piece pad with the 4 built in. When I bought one of the new smaller containers (not originally available with my machine) it didn't really work with the old style separate supports. So I bought one of these pads it does fit my TNC era machine and works fine. Thought I'd post this in case it's of use to someone trying to figure out what goes with what.

with the original existing Vitamix Centering Pad and it is not exactly up to par in thickness and quality even though it is produced by Vitamix it may not be manufactured in the USA. It will do the job however.
