I was so excited to get this, thought it was a great idea. I had my last garlic press for 10yrs before it finally broke. Well, I got only three uses out of this before it broke. First of all it takes a great deal of downward pressure with your palm to keep the wheels from slipping along in order for the blades to spin. Then the cheap plastic gear sounds like it is on the verge of breaking or stripping. I would only put two to three cloves in at a time yet it still struggles being that is is cheap plastic. Its a great design and idea, only the quality of it stinks. Trying to get all the garlic out of this is a hassle also. Cleanup is not so easy either, the blade comes apart in many pieces and has to be put back together like a rubics cube. Either way its broke already in only a few uses, luckily the refund policy here on Amazon was very easy and generous. I am a busy cook in my house and do not have time for this toy. Will be buying a regular steel garlic press now to replace my last one, they have been around forever and are tried and true.
**update** I felt the need to complain to Amazon about the product, they reimbursed me for the purchase. That was nice of them. Just dont buy this thing, and spare yourself of the hassle of breakage, return or reimbursement.

This was fabulous for about two months. Then it completely broke :( The part that hold the wheel on cracked. The wheels fall off and it is now garbage.

First my grand daughter used this she's 18, she put 2 cloves in and it was real hard for her to get it going. And cleaning it is a pain. The I tried it today, yep its hard, takes awhile for the cloves to cut, it locks up, I only had 2 in there and once you are able to move it more , it does cut good, but not worth the money or time to clean. Just buy the hand one that pushes through less mess. Now I brought the big one, mine son has the SMALL one and I think it works better. Blades are closer together. Save your money.

If I still had the packaging, I would be returning this. I love kitchen gadgets, and you can see where this could work really well if it was made just a little better. Too bad...If the manufacturer had put a bit more into it, I would have gladly paid a bit more. The only time I will use this is when I am making my "vat" of marinara otherwise, not work the hassle.

I sent it back, it was to hard to clean and to much work to chop a few pieces of garlic. I was also fearful it would break as it was plastic and you had to use force to push , which had to be in one direction only, also the garlic got stuck several times.
