In the year I have had this pot I have made some great stews and pot roasts. The capacity is ample to serve 2-4 people. It performs as a good heavy dutch oven should. The Stainless handles add a touch of class to the pot. It has retained it's seasoning without having to re-do.

I'll admit, this is the first dutch oven I have owned/used. But I'm very pleased with it!The preseasoned surface is better than expected. Cooked foods come off easily; though a deglazing helps greatly. The handles really do stay cool when cooking on the stove top. It is somewhat heavy. Though it reeks of quality and I expect it to last a lifetime.
Would recommend! :)

I have been using Lodge cast iron for years and love the even heating and chemical free non stick surface. Also made in USA. Care is easy and seasoning isn't a big deal. However, I recently installed an induction cooktop and was concerned about scratching. The enameled cast irons do not scratch but to me the enameled/coated insides defeat one of the benefits of cast iron.I went to Lodge's web site to request they make an induction friendly set with natural cast iron insides and found they already did: the signature series!
I found the pan to be the same great quality of the other lodge pans. The seasoned surface works well but it will need some additional seasoning to get to the same level of my older pans.
The sleek new handles are sharp looking but will get hot with prolonged cooking (ie stovetop soup making). I don't see this as an issue but I also didn't have any issue with the other pans. Just use a potholder.
If you love cast iron and have induction, this pan is for you.
