I ordered a guage replacement for my pressure cooker and it did not come with the nut to attach it to my canner. The nut for my old one does nto fit due to years of use and a different thread. I still can't use my canner!Best Deals for Presto Pressure Canner Steam Gauge
Too bad this company did not send a simple thing like a nut that would fit the threads on the gauge. Even better Presto could make all of their gauges universal so replacing it would be easy instead of frustrating. Who knows if I can find a nut to fit, but if not that means I have to make a trip, and could just as well have bought the gauge at a hardware store. I installed this on an old, 1930's National pressure canner, model 7..Had it tested at the Extension Office for correct pressure, to find it was 1/2 pound off...I can live with that...Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Presto Pressure Canner Steam Gauge
The pressure gauge was what came with this mid range canner...so it was what I expected. However I must admit I did expect it to arrive with the nut and washer to attach it to the lid. Had to send my husband out to the hardware store before I could start canning! Best to read the description of your purchase more carefully. I know I will be!
