I bought this for our log cabin home and I absolutely love it!! It has a rustic look to it and is very practical! We fit two large frying pans on top of the pot rack and hang our cast iron pans from the rack hooks. I got such a good deal on it by buying from Amazon. I had shopped around for a pot rack for a while but couldn't pass up the deal I got from this site!!

Incomplete order & missing necessary parts. All 12 pot hooks were missing. Now I'm going to have to go out to purchase my own hooks from a hardware store. Disappointed.

Best Deals for Old Dutch Oval Pot Rack

My wife is very pleased with this purchase. It supports all her heavy pots and pans. And, importantly, it looks great.

From my perspective, I was grateful it came with mounting hardware to mount into the trusses. 4 sturdy hooks that screw directly into the trusses. A 3/8" drill bit is needed so that should give you an idea as to their size. While it is designed to mount on a ceiling with 16" trusses, I had no problem installing in our trusses that are 24" apart (an older house).

My only complaint is that it is not easy as one would think to adjust the height. Our ceiling is only 8 ft and my wife wanted the rack to hang only a foot below the ceiling to minimize head banging. One would think one could simply adjust by using less links ... but it is not so easy because the links are too narrow to fit over the hooks that attach to the ceiling and at the other end ... it is closed tight around the link. I had to use a big hammer and screwdriver to pry open the end link in order to shorten each chain by 10 links. It took me about an hour to install.

Bottom line: My wife is happy in how it looks and functions. I am very happy at the cost and at how sturdy it attaches -despite the minor difficulty I had with adjusting the links. No regrets.

This unit was difficult to install. The frame was slightly warped making it not hang completely straight. One of the hanging chains had one less link on it which also caused leveling issue. However, it is up and looks great. You can't tell it's not perfectly level anyhow. We have 8' ceiling so the chains had to be choked up. I will have to cut the excess off eventually which will be difficult. It is a beautiful dark bronze color and quite solid. I would buy it again if we move.
