I ordered this thinking, "It's a roasting pan. How can you mess up a basic roasting pan?" Well, now I know:
-It's not that it's a bad pan but it's VERY thin. Upon opening it up and looking it over, I realized that the bottom for the pan flexes in the same way that the top of a jelly jar "pops" after it's been opened.
-The roasting rack sits a little less than a half inch from the bottom of the pan. (That may work out fine for you, but I need it to sit a little higher to keep my brisket out of the juices.)
The lid doesn't sit very securely. I realize that there will be some "give" with a lid, however, it should at least sit well in the rim of the pan without sliding around. This one slides around... not a ton, but again, more than is suitable for my purposes. I need the lid to fit securely and the vents to close all the way, which brings me to the next point...
-The small vents in the top would be a nice feature except that they don't close completely on the one that I received (I may have received a defective one but I'm just reviewing the product I have). Because of this, it will release too much moisture and my meat will dry out.
So overall, this roasting pan may be fine if you just need something basic that you don't expect to last forever. I am returning mine and ordering a different one after I do more research.
Note: I ordered a Cuisineart brand stainless steel stock pot in the same order as this roasting pan, so in comparison, this roasting pan just seemed cheap and flimsy next to my very sturdy Cuisineart product.

Cooked my first Prime Rib in this pan. It came out perfect. The size was just right for the 20lb roast. The wire rack was easy to clean as was the pan. I'm sure this will last a lifetime.
