If you'd like to make your own knock-off "Uncrustables" (as dubbed by Smucker's), this little tool offers wide possibilities. Nut butter and jelly, pizza pockets, grilled cheese, salmon salad, and just about any other filling you can thing of are all fair game with this Cut N Seal gadget, and they all come out with that cute scalloped edge. For those dieting or health-conscious, losing that extra crust (x2) means intaking many fewer calories. Came promptly, wrapped in plastic, with directions, and is very easy to clean. Directions indicate ability to make half pockets (half-moon-shaped) but have not yet tried. My only minor wish is that the press-button was smoothly-shaped without the nub on top so it didn't imprint in your palm when pressing down, but this is not a big deal. Otherwise, this is fun (especially for kids), easy to use, and fairly priced; very pleased and highly recommend.

This is great for making a "knock off" version of the frozen pbjs my daughter is obsessed with. Not only do I save money, but I can also use higher-quality ingredients (whole wheat bread, low-sugar jelly, etc). AND this is easier than making a "real" pbjAll you do is scoop a spoon of pb and a spoon of jelly in the middle of a slice of bread, slap on another piece and push down the gadget. Rip away any stubborn crust and voila! I'm going to try making a mass batch and freezing them, next. Also want to try more fillings. I made a grilled cheese (in the oven) tonight and it was fabulous!

I wanted to make my own uncrustables and kept looking at reviews online. they all point to this product. I actually tried making different shapes with a cookie cutter and it also works so you dont really need this. But for this product its pretty functional. The only issue I have is the size. because of its size you end up cutting a lot of the bread away. I wish it was a bit bigger.

What a handy gadget! For those of you who love Uncrustables or love someone who loves Uncrustables, this is a great addition to your kitchen tools. My youngest son, who is now 14, has been eating Uncrustables since he was a toddler. About six months ago he went to a school mate's house and the child's Mom made them peanut butter and jelly using one of these devices. My son came home and excitedly told me how much better the homemade Uncrustables were. The benefit is that you can use your favorite bread, peanut butter and flavor of jelly and they taste very fresh. I asked the Mom where she got the gadget to make them and she said she bought it at a Pampered Chef party quite a while back. Not knowing a Pampered Chef consultant, I then went to the internet to find one, and sure enough, Amazon carried them. I actually bought two, one for us and one for my step-daughter, who originally discovered Uncrustables and serves them for her family. We both use ours at least three times a week. Plus, the homemade ones cost a fraction of the price of the commercially made Uncrustables. It will take you a few attempts to perfect your technique, but once you get it, you get it. It is also important that you use fresh bread, because stale bread tends to tear and not stay crimped.

Fantastic tool---solid construction, great results. You must flatten bread first (I used a rolling pin) before topping it to keep bread from tearing. Love it!
