This is a very pretty, durable 3-quart saucepan and should probably get 5 stars except for the price...you can buy it from Oneida.com for $29.99 instead of $44 through Amazon...I definitely should have checked there first! :/

I had a hard time deciding between this pot and the Cuisinart in the fifty dollar range. Couldn't really tell what the different was and figured that with nearly a twenty dollar difference in price, I'd try this one out first and if I didn't like it, I could always send it back. Happy to say that it has been used three times and I really love it. It feels very durable, yet is lightweight enough to pick up with one hand while full of liquid. I liked it so much, I just ordered another one. I have only hand-washed mine, so I cannot speak to how it holds up in the dishwasher. While the price was very good, I was surprised, upon first use, when the inside bottom surface began to pit. I've used it several times, now, and the pitting has taken on a discolored appearance (black). I knew it wasn't burnt food, as I only boiled potatoes in it. It does not come clean. This has a great handle and lid, but wasn't as heavy as I had hoped. The extra mass holds and distributes heat better. This will do everything we ask, but I have a Duxtop tri-ply on order. We have been spoiled by a smaller Calphalon tri-ply purchased years ago at a very attractive price.
