Once you get one without serious casting or glazing flaws, these are some of the best "baking dishes" I have worked with. The oval shape means that you don't have over-cooked corners and a cold middle. They clean up well and the variety of sizes means that your dish fits, rather than being spread too thin or overflowing.
However, in trying to get a "set" we went through probably half a dozen exchanges, as well as looking through all the stock that a local retailer had before we could find four of the five pieces we wanted.I like this 10 1/2" Emile Henry, it is just the right size for roasted side-dishes for 2 to 4 people. However, the 8 1/2" ones are rather small. They clean up nicely and look nice on the table as well.
