These knives are heavy, sharp and cut meat like it is paper. Just like the knives in a top steakhouse restaurant! They are fantastic. I use the knives all the time and just throw them in the dishwasher and they come out looking brand new. They're great and holding up beautifully. I am very impressed with these knives.

I got these knives to replace a lower duty set that I had for over ten years. These knives are the big, beefy (no pun here), and sharp ones you get while enjoying a perfectly grilled piece of your favorite steak at a steakhouse. I got two sets for those times when the party and the beef is bigger!! They are nice wood, but not so nice that you feel like you should not use them at a backyard picnic. They are perfect for me. Get some of these, fire up the barbeque and enjoy your summer.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Chicago Cutlery 4-Piece Basics Steakhouse Knife Set
I had a fairly decent set of matching flatware to serve 8 people, but all of the knives were near-useless for anything tougher than chicken. I'd seen knives like these in steakhouses before (hence the name, I suppose) and figured that, even if they didn't match the rest, they'd have a classy look that would go well with them all the same.My only real surprise upon getting them was how big they are, but they aren't unwieldy at all, and they do their job incredibly well. I can now make clean cuts through my steaks with little effort at all without resorting to pulling something out of my knife block (which isn't one of the ones that includes steak knives).
I'm a bit curious how they'll hold up in the long-term, but my initial impressions are very positive.
