Bought my 4.5 qt Le Creuset at TJ Maxx for ½ off. Never pay full price is my motto.

I wanted to use it in the oven as well as the stovetop, so needed this steel knob to replace the black one. I like going back and forth between knobs because I prefer to not have to use a pot-holder when cooking on the stovetop. But, for high temperatures in the oven, this knob is necessary.

What is there to say? It works. I think the knobs both look fine. Get it if you need it. All you need is a screwdriver to install.

I wish the pots came with this knob instead of the resin one. This bolted right in, took 10 seconds to replace the old knob, and into the 550 degree oven went the Le Creuset pot. Yummy crusty bread came out.

This is a necessity if you want to use your dutch oven at a higher oven temperature. I am using it on my Le Creuset 3.5 quart round pot. It is slightly bigger in diameter and thicker than the original plastic knob. Make sure to keep a pot holder handy because it can get very hot.
