Reviews of Granite Ware 6701-4 4-Quart Stock Pot
I wanted a covered, inexpensive, but not unattractive pot to hold scraps until I was ready to take them to the compost. I didn't want to spend $30 or $40 for the little pots with charcoal filters--seems to me that if you need a filter to control odors, you should be taking your compost out more often. This holds about 4 quarts, so it's big enough to hold the vegetable trimmings for most cooking jobs.I bought this thinking that all graniteware is made in the USA-WRONG! This pot is made in Mexico & states in the bottom left of the label. I noticed other graniteware's labels are shown in the listings, but not this one. This one gets returned because I trusted Amazon information & thought I was buying made in USA. Granted, this may be a first for Amazon as I've never had issues of this type before. I cook a lot & want quality cookware. I feel this wouldn't hold up to the Graniteware quality and name. Sorry, but I'm just not happy.
