I needed a larger saucepan, as my sister and her son moved in with me, and my only options were tiny saucepan or huge Dutch oven. This bridges the gap nicely, and is a great pan, as well.
I didn't want to get one of the non-stick pans available today, as the coating soon starts flaking off and gets in your food. I have never had a problem with pans that don't have non-stick coating, and don't feel that it's all that necessary. Cooking with this is quite easy, and, even if we leave food in it overnight, it cleans nicely. It does equally well in the dishwasher or hand washed, whichever your preference is. This is a great size if you're cooking for 2-5 people, depending on what you're making.
