I love Staub pots. They heat up evenly and retain heat, and the lids are perfectly fitting so not even a wisp of steam escapes. I love them for cooking soups, stews, beans and chili. Really worth the investment!This is a must-have addition to your kitchen. Perfect for cooking for 3, this cocotte operates from the stovetop to the oven to the table. This is is a deeply attractive colour too. Note: it is very heavy, so be prepared for heavy lifting when removing from oven. It braises meat excellently and the results are falling-off-the-bone-meaty-goodness. The option I chose on Amazon gave it to me at a cheaper price than it is normally advertised and it is cheaper than a le Creuset too. This is one pot that you will be using for everythingbraises, stews, soups, curriesit works brilliantly for all of the cooking options. Did I forget to mention that it is good for baking and roasting too? Cast iron is the workhouse of the kitchen and this Staub makes all the heavy lifting worth it!
