Bought this pot for my newfound hobby of BEER BREWING. Most of the recipies I've seen are for a 5 gallon batch of brew. This pot is a 10 gallon pot which leaves plenty of room for steeping your grains.

This 40 quart stainless steel stock pot is perfect for stew. We have had it for a while; I'd say we've used it about 40 times, and it is still as nice as the day we got it. It cleans up easily and the lid is a good fit. The handles seem strong--the contents of this giant pot can get pretty heavy! I had to make room in our cabinets for it, so you might consider the size of storing one of these before buying, and get used to lending it out! I needed something for the extra large garden we have to make soups, salsas, blanch corn,beans, etc. and this is definitely the pot! It is huge so I have to pull out my stove to get it to fit, and cleaning it is a little hard, but it doesn't burn, it seems very sturdy from the work I've already put it through! Looking forward to many more years using this pot!
