The design of the case is correct. The straps distribute the weight evenly. I purchased this cover primarily to protect from dinging other items as I pack to go camping. There is zero effective padding on this case. The bottom is padded a little bit. Nothing around the edges or top. The workmanship is good, but the real problem is the lack of padding materials and the thin nylon is cheap. I feel ripped off that I paid so much for cheap materials. I won't return it, but for the money, this should be a lot better.

I have the 14 inch diameter deep dutch oven and couldn't find a carry bag for it in town. This item is durable and allows for storage of my gloves, lid lifter and lid holder.

This bag says that it fits a 14 inch Dutch oven. It does fit it, however it is a touch bigger than I thought it would be. Would have been much better had it had something to put into the bottom of the bag so that the legs of the dutch oven didn't tear up the bottom of the bag.

Very versitile for every cooking situation while we are camping. My husband loves to come up with recipes just so he can use "his" Dutch Oven. We bought the tote because we knew that we'd be using this for many many years to come and wanted to protect our favorite cooking vessel. We highly recommend this product and the tote.

I love this tote bag but like others have said that it would be better with a hard bottom for support. I just cut out a piece of plywood in a circle pattern and it works just fine. You have enough room in the bag to do this.
