I've had this pot for about a month. It was recommended by a German friend and a Christmas gift. It's quite different than any other cookware I've used. It heats very evenly both horizontally and vertically. I've had to adjust some recipes, for instance my pinto beans cooked 5 to 10 minutes faster than usual. The size is quite wonderful as well. It is great for browning chicken as well as for making soups. I tend to cook one big dish for multiple nights or for a houseful of people. This is perfect for that.
The surface is very easy to clean but different. It's not like teflon where things just fall off. Things stick, like in a non-stick pan, so great for making gravy etc. But then when it comes to cleaning up, it's a simple wipe.
I gave it a four because you have to learn to use it . Maybe that means I should give me a four:)
I would definately purchase more of these if I had the money.
