It's NOT stainless, it's just cheap chrome plated steel, if that matters to you. It did to me. Also I was also hoping it might match the photo in terms of size, but no, the description is correct, it's 5 5/8 round and bigger than in the photo. This is just a typical mass produced Chinese thingy, probably not worth $1 unless you're desperate for something like this.

I tried using the stand for making phulka. But it gave off some paint smelling fumes when heated, which I did not expect from stainless steel wire.

I have no idea what others are using this rack for. I purchased it to put in the bottom of my pressure cookers when I need an iteam to be fairly high up off the floor of the cooker. For example, if I'm doing rice. I want the rice, in a separate bowl inside, to be separated from the boiling/steam water. This is perfect.

It's small, light, cheap and works well: what more could one want?
