This is for the guy who thought the lid was flimsy -"a grade above tinfoil."
First: The lid is perfectly fine for its purpose -as a cover to a stock pot. If he wants a dutch oven, then he needs a heavier lid.
Second: This is the standard type of lid, by appearance and construction, found regularly in various sizes in commercial and institutional kitchens -except this one is a little heavier and better made than many seen in such establishments.
