We've had this popper for roughly six years now and use it often. It has always performed well for us. To make good popcorn in a short time fill the butter melting cup with popcorn, then pour it into the popping chamber. I heap it up in the butter melting cup, and that seems to be the max for this machine. We found that Jolly Time Yellow Popcorn Jolly Time Pop Corn, Yellow, 2lb, (pack of 3) works well. After starting the popper, the corn gets hot enough to start popping in a about a minute. Be sure to have a large bowl in place when it starts, as it just a short time before copious amounts of popcorn start flowing from the spout. Nearly every kernel pops. You will find a few of the un-popped kernels in your bowl and a few will remain in the popper. The cleanup is very easy. I place the cover and butter melting dish in the top rack of the dishwasher and wipe down the popper with a damp sponge. One small bone to pick with the manufacturer: why no on/off switch? The popper must be turned on and off by inserting/removing the plug to/from the electrical socket.
