I purchased this item because the nigiri maker I had for over 10 years was lost in a recent move. I was surprised by the size of the nigiri this mold makes. Almost double the size of the old mold. Regardless of the size, it is easy to use. One should be careful when removing the rice from the mold because the plastic piece on the top (only one side connected to mold so you can push the nigiri out of the mold) does not appear to be very sturdy.

But very easy to use. I need to figure out what filling to put in these. They work great. I have a tiny bento box and I can fit 3 of these in there, but they go flat on the sides. My husband has a larger bento and I can fit all 3 of these and 1 triangular riceball in his. This is so much easier than doing it by hand.
