I bought this pot since a lot of my Puerto Rican friends use them for cooking. This pot was the perfect size for cooking 4 chicken breast with adobo and vegetables. I made a chicken stew out of these and it the pot worked perfect for browning the vegetables and chicken and then slowly simmering them to perfection. This is the perfect pot size for cooking a meal for 3-4 people. I will order the larger version when I start cooking for more people.

I made arroz con pollo in this pot and it was wonderful! It cooks evenly and washing it is a joy. If you want to make Latino style rice, this pot is for you!

This is the only pot I will use to make rice. I really like that it also has a great fitting cover. Every kitchen should have one. It's magical. Lol.

I was looking for something to replace my worn Club Aluminum set that I bought used at a yard sale--27 years ago when I was a newlywed. That old set spoiled me and I was looking for something new that would live up to those standards. I purchased several of these in different sizes, and while they function just fine, I am wondering if they will last. For the price, I think that I will at least get my money's worth. I wash mine in the dishwasher and while they come out discolored and streaked, I can live with it.

I love this paila! My daughter spent 3 years with the Peace Corps in Panama and told me about this pot. I bought three different sizes but this one is perfect for most normal size dishes. I use it for everything now trying to season it up and it works perfectly. I fry in it, boil in it, and deep fry in it. Definitely the most used pan in my kitchen. Five stars for sure!
