This was a replacement for a wedding gift my daughter and son in law received....it fell off the top of their refrigerator (won't say who caused that to happen!) so I ordered this as a replacement and it arrived as an anniversary gift. They use it for fruit and absolutely love it. The color is rich and clear; excellent quality; it coordinates with their dishes and cookware. When it broke, replacing it was a must! Very satisfied. in fact, I'm debating getting one for myself!

What a beautiful stoneware basket! I bought the blue one for me and a white one for a friend. We both love them. This basket is not only beautiful, but useful. I use it every day as a fruit bowl. I received the Sapphire bowl. It was packed well with no shipping damage and arrived as promised. The bowl would be just what I was looking for except for the quality. The finish is not uniform and has white showing through in particular at the intersections of the weave but also extending well beyond. There is also a rough flat defect where it either rested against something while curing or a bubble in the glaze was ground off poorly. I emailed Eucalyptus and they responded "The Sapphire glaze does have a bit of translucency". I wouldn't be that generious. Take the view on Amazon and degrade it by at least 40% and that's what I received.
