My first introduction to Le Creuset's "Evolution" line of silicone kitchen tools was the Le Creuset Silicone Jar Scraper. My wife liked it so much she asked me to order the medium spatula in that line. At the time I did that (last week!), Amazon did not list this but instead carried sets of Le Creuset's earlier line that had a very different design. I ordered directly from Chef's Catalog, but now see that Amazon does have the listing, for several sellers.

What I like about this line is the comfortable handle and the robust silicone head with thoughtful touches such as the rim scraper indentation. The silicone itself is thicker, firmer and smoother than the earlier models.

The blade is supposedly detachable for running through the dishwasher, but I prefer to just hand-wash the whole thing rather than risk the handle becoming loose. The handle design is very comfortable and less likely to slide into a pot during use.

Good functional Le Creuset product but the color I ordered, Flame, is more like construction cone orange, not the lovely rich Le Creuset color we see on the cast iron pots. I didn't return them because I needed to use them right away.

It holds up really great to heat,very easy to clean, feels comfortable to hold and use. It's my go-to utensil for everything. Favorite size it medium.

Just an FYI, the head comes off. Perhaps intentionally for cleaning but my concern is how will it hold up after extended use. Will it stretch out and then not stay on?

I will return and let you know or if you have experience, pls let me know.

***Update Well it's a year later and still holding up. No problem so far with the head becoming loose. As far as the color, it hasn't faded at all unfortunately! LOL

Sturdy, nice heavy wood handle with a silicone scraper that is not floppy. It will easily scrape the sides of the bowl and even under the lip of large jars. I love it!

This gadget is a great tool, but it is not supple enough to be a scraper. It is great for cooking and it has a nice long handle, but I usually have to get out a flimsier rubber spatula to get things out of a bowl or a bottle.

I bought the whole Revolution collection at once, but this small spatula gets the most use by far. If I could do it over again, I would have skipped some of the larger spatulas and just bought three of these so I could always have one clean. The tip is fine and strong enough to lift the egdes of an omelet off the pan without tearing them.
