This is excellent cookware. It heats and cooks evenly and quickly, then maintains the temperature similar to cast iron cookware. The handles although warm, never seem to get so hot that I cannot handle them. Plus, the lids are designed to attached to the handles when you must remove them briefly. That was a surprise and is proof of it's well thought out design. Food does not stick and is cleaned easily. Eggs still have a tendency to stick, but beyond that I have no negative comments. The cookware still earns my 5 stars. The stainless steel shine almost looks like silver. This is cookware I'll enjoy for many many years to come. This set would make a wonderful gift to newly weds, or housewarming. Finally, I can get rid of my old nonstick cookware and step up to something I use and admire. And with this price,you can't go wrong. You can buy this item with confidence.

Overall I love these pans. They are heavy and relatively easy to clean. Even after browning meat, any stuck on food is removed during the cooking process once the lids are placed on the pans. Mostly cleans up with soap and water, or for super shiny result, barkeepers friend is all you need. Cooking almost anything in these pans is a pleasure. Note: eggs do stick. For the money, I don't think you will find a better set. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because when the pans arrived, one of the thermo knobs on the lid (they have a glass center) was shattered. I can't even begin to explain the number of emails back and forth to the Price Pros. All I need is one new knob and I have to send back ALL of the pans, which I will not do. I have reached my limit with these people. DO NOT BUY FROM THE PRICE PROS. PURCHASE ELSEWHERE!

I had very high hopes for these pots and pans and sadly, I've been disappointed. I have had this cookware for almost one year and the last usable piece broke. It started with the lids. The temperature knobs on the lids broke off very early on, leaving behind a nub of a screw. Using a potholder, I could still pick the lid up and use it though. Then the handles on the pots and pans started breaking. The handles are 70% plastic and 30% metal. The plastic breaks off leaving the metal behind, but there isn't enough metal to support the weight of the pan. The only option now is to use potholders to pick up the pot/pan directly.

On a positive note, the base of the pans are incredibly sturdy but not the pan itself, and that base part is likely to last a very long time. But I will have to replace the set so I don't burn myself every time I cook.

Stats: I used this set to cook on an electric stove roughly 5 nights a week for nearly a year and I wash them in the dishwasher. Have never used these in the oven (as you can with all metal pans) and because of the plastic handles I was very careful not to have the handles of the pots/pans over the heat or other burners, but they still broke. :-(

The pot and pan set is an incredible deal on amazon. Bought it for a $110 and free two day shipping. For how much you get I had to give four stars. The whole set looks nice and I don't have much to complain about besides the fact that everything seems to burn on these pans and its a pain in the butt to clean. Maybe I am doing something wrong with cooking my food.

Update-Not even two weeks of having and using these the two mixing bowls have started to get rust on it. Wish I would have kept the box to return the whole set. =(

I purchased this set of cookware after researching it on the internet. I was looking for an inexpensive set to use on an induction stove, and was assured this set would work (was told a magnet adheres to the bottom of the cookware). However, the bottom of the pans do not have enough magnetic attraction to "induce" the burners on my stove. I was very disappointed, because this is a very attractive set of cookware, and well worth the selling price. I'm sure they would work just fine on a conventional stovetop, but beware if you use induction....
