I have been looking for the WearEver Cook and Strain Nonstick Frying Pan for a short time. Evidently, WearEver stopped making it. So, when I found this at Amazon I didn't waste any time purchasing it. The price was right and the red color was just an added bonus! It's bigger than the one I got with my set about 10 years ago so that's a plus, too.

The only thing I hold against it is that it's not as heavy as my original one. But, I think I'll just be a little bit more careful and take exceptional care of this one and it should last me many,many years!

My wife needs a large skillet to cook her Pansit. We did have a nice one we bought at Sam's Club in Houston but it somehow got left behind when we moved to Georgia. We weren't able to find a replacement locally so I checked Amazon and found an ideal replacement skillet. The wife is happy so I'm happy.

THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL COOK & STRAIN!!!! I own the original WearEver Cook & Strain Jumbo Cooker and I love it. My older version has a very heavy pan underneath the 'cook & strain' lid. This skillet, however, is as light as a feather and it has a weird sparkly coating on the inside. It's as if they kept the lid, which gives the pan its name, and substituted a really cheap pan underneath it. To add insult to injury, I'm being charged for the return. Awful! DO NOT BUY THIS PAN!

I have only used this pan 3 or 4 times, but so far it works great! Heats evenly, cleans up wonderfully, and this type of lid is so handy to have.

I bought a 7 quart Dutch oven but found I didn't have a place to store it so gave it to my Daughter-in-law. It is a great cooking utensil and she loves it. I then reordered the WearEver frying pan. The pan is exactly what I wanted and am pleased with the weight and quality. The price was very competitive.
