I bought these pots for brewing beer in 1/2 bbl batches. They are a great bargain for the price. The vendor shipped them right away. Thunder group needs to stop putting their stickers on them though. I was not able to get it off of one of the kettles. (PITA). Packaging was comical, pot was in a large flimsy box and the only packing material was a single page of Chinese newspaper. It wasn't even the Chinese comics section...where's the fun in that? :-) The kettles themselves are great though.

I ordered this 60 qt (15gal) stock pot based on several reviews by other Home brewers. I just recently went to an All Grain method and needed to increase the size of the boil kettle. I was very pleased with the quality the price. Also pleased when the ordered showed up one day after I placed the order. I find the pot to be very well made and very sturdy for my application. I also added a 1/2 inch ball valve which makes transferring liquids much easier. In comparison to the aluminum pots that are offered from other companies, King Kooker etc. this is a much better quality of aluminum construction. For the brewers, I recommend boiling a full pot of water before you boil a batch of beer.

I got one of these (50qt) for my birthday and I couldn't be happier. It is thick, sturdy, and distributes heat well. Good handles. You may be wondering how this compares to the Winware Professional Aluminum 50 Quart Stockpot, which is currently $20 more expensive. I would say that the Winware has some small advantages. For one, I believe the Winware is slightly thicker (4.75mm vs. 4mm). Also, the rim of the Winware has a slight collar to strengthen it. The Thunder Group does not, which makes it more vulnerable to deformation.

That said, I'm not sure that either of these issues will ever cause me a real-world problem. In practice the Thunder Group pot performs admirably.

Honest reviews on Thunder Group Aluminum Stock Pots

Very happy with purchase, I am using this for homebrewing. The walls of the pot are nice and thick, you don't need to worry too much of dinging the pot up. It is comically large when placed in a normal persons kitchen. If you are upgrading your pot for homebrew one thing to think about is your immersion chiller, i need to either rewind mine or make a new one as this pot is much wider than my last pot and the top 1/4 of the coil is not actually immersed in the wort.
