I have a complete set of Circulon Symmetry and I bought this to complete my set. I use this pan quite a bit because it is evenly weighted and the perfect size for a one pot meal for 2-4 people. The lid is a plus and is very sturdy. I've dropped some of the lids and they have held up to a lot of abuse such as falling off the counter, etc. without any damage. This pan has all the same features as my Symmetry set -----a wonderful non-stick interior and exterior which cleans up with a swish in warm, soapy water and an interior that heats up quickly without annoying cold and hot spots and the lid that fits perfectly that provides a window to observe the cooking process. It even has a small handle that can be used to hang it from a rack, unlike my other fry pans.
The only negative is don't put this in a dishwasher. My Dawn powerpac left a nasty film on my other pans in this series.

I purchased this pan from the Circulon website instead of through Amazon. The price was close to the same, they had a 'sale' on the item. I also have ordered the 11 piece set (through a company I will never order from again) but have not yet received that set. I am getting these because I remodeled the kitchen and installed an induction range. My review is based on the cookware's performance on a GE Profile induction range. I had Circulon before, but my anodized aluminum set would not work on my new range, and my wish to purchase Circulon again shows I like the cookware. This pot is big. I expected that, and I wanted that. Induction ranges work based on magnetic energy transfer through a ferrous based metal cookware item. So far, sounds good, right? Well, this pot, as I said is big, and the largest 'burner' on the induction range is about the same circumference as the pot. HOWEVER, the pot has a much smaller than the size of the pot stainless steel surface (about 6.5 inches, the size of a regular bread and butter plate) that actually comes into contact with the induction cooktop. Induction ranges are structured so that the size of the pot must relatively closely 'fit' the size of the 'burner'. This pot will not activate the largest burner on my GE Profile induction range (a large iron skillet and another large stainless steel pot work well on the large 'burner'). It will work on the smaller 'medium' size area, meaning I am limited to choices for other pots when I use this one. Cooks well on the medium 'burner'. Circulon performs like no other cookware, and I like it. This pot simply missed the mark with the large size, sloped sides and tiny (by comparison) diameter of the actual heating surface. I eagerly await the arrival of my full set from the company I will not use again (purchased early February, charged card mid February, set will not even be shipped until April...????)
This pot needs to be redesigned without the sharply sloped sides so that a full size stainless steel plate will come into contact with the induction cooktop, otherwise, you miss out on the great performance of the quick heat / near instant off attributes of induction cooking.
Best Deals for Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick 6-Quart Covered Chef Pan
Circulon has different product lines and it is important to make sure you get the chef pan that meets your needs. The Symmetry Chef Pan is designed for more casserole type dishes which you may not want as much surface heat directly touching the bottom of the pan. I make a milk base soup in this pan for example. Really I see it as multipurpose but the Infinite line is what they describe as a more durable chef pan it has a larger surface base. I like both. Stainless Steel encapsulated base, large handles, anodized non stick, clean up is a breeze. Excellent pans both Symmetry and Infinite! Its hard to find a 6 quart in this style of pan it truly is family size.Honest reviews on Circulon Symmetry Hard Anodized Nonstick 6-Quart Covered Chef Pan
Excellent pan, I originally wanted the larger and much heavier frypan with lid, which has a larger base on it. I am extremely happy with this though, its non-stick bottom is amazing and the smaller base fits perfectly on our stovetop (not alot of room for enormous frypans). If you do want to brown your meat etc you just need to do it in a couple of batches as the pan is very deep rather than wide. I found the weight really great to handle, I could still pick it up with one hand, whereas the frypan is much heavier and you need to use both hands to lift it.Shipping to NZ was very speedy and item arrived perfect.
