I bought these poachers because they are 100% silicone and don't contain the fillers that the more commonly available green ones have. You can determine if the silicone product has a filler by pinching it. If you can see white at the crease when the item is pinched, it has a filler which isn't identified so we don't really know what this filler is and if it will leach into foods. Since these products are made in a country that has much less stringent safety laws, I won't use any product that has unidentified substances in them that could enter the food I am cooking. 100% silicone will be the same color at the crease. These poachers do the job, and I am giving it 4 stars only because there were no directions included. They are not nonstick despite what the packaging says, so I use a coconut or canola oil spray in the cup. They also work in the microwave. I washed them in the dishwasher before using, and there was no strange aftertaste that some reviewers noted. I ordered 2 sets for my daughter who loves eggs Benedict.

These are fantastic, poached eggs could not be easier. They produce perfect eggs, and are so simple to clean. I have eight of these.........if you love poached eggs, you will love these.

I read all the reviews before purchasing this product and one said the eggs had a horrible taste that washing and rinsing the cups did not dispel. So TRUE. What a waste of money.

If you don't mind inedible eggs this product does preform as it should. The eggs are so easy to cook and remove. Just a horrible soapy taste! Mind you, at first I just thought perhaps I need to rinse them better after washing so I tried numerous trials and the horrible taste never leaves.

Box was smashed thank goodness these are silicone. I ordered 2 boxes since usually everyone has 2 eggs, have not tried yet but if there is a issue will update write up.
