As other reviewers have said this is very well made and should last a lifetime. The shipping time was about the same as I woul dexpect it to be if it had been shipped here in the U.S. I tried the making spaetzle by pushing the batter through a colander which works Ok but this was soooo much easier and worked sooo much better.

This spaetzle press was very easy to use! It made perfect German noodles just like the ones I remembered and was easy to clean up! Very robust kitchen appliance, a breeze to clean and allows for very easy making of spaetzle. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in making spaetzle. I also have the spaetzle maker that looks like a cheese grater with a hopper on top. This is heavier metal, and very solid. So many of these are not. I got it on sale, but it was worth the regular price, I just didn't have that much. It's an excellent tool....I've wanted one like my mother's for years....it took me forever to find this! Love it, works marvelously, can finally have actual fresh spaetzle like in Germany, easy clean up too. Would definitely recommend.
