I have owned Nikko's Happy Holiday plates for over a decade. From Thanksgiving to New Year's Day they are in constant use and an important family tradition. No signs of chipping, flaking, crazing or fading. They are mostly washed in the dishwasher I don't remember ever using them in the microwave. At first they were stored in an attic and subject to high humid summers and freezing winters. Now I store them in a closet downstairs, not knowing if the extremes in temp would eventually cause problems.

I haven't seen these dishes available in any stores for a few years and don't know if the line has been or will be discontinued soon. It seemed like a good time to add to my collection so that there will be enough plates for our growing family.

I HAVE COLLECTED THESE CHRISTMAS DI8HES OVER THE YEARS AS MY FAMILY HAS INCREASED IN SIZE. THEY CAN BE MICROWAVED PUT IN THE DISHWASHER AND IN THE OVEN. THE SHIPPING TIME WAS GREAT AND YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE. THESE DISHES COME OUT THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING AND HAVE BECOME PART OF OUR FAMILY CHRISTMAS TRADITION. I had purchased 4 of these plates several years ago and just love the simple beauty of the design. Both the scalloped edges and the artistic, old fashioned Christmas tree pattern make these plates a wonderful addition to my Holiday table. I only wish that I could use them more than once a year.

I got these for my mom because they were a nice add on to the Nikko set she already had. I don't know what I'll buy her this coming Xmas, because she is tough to shop for. I think I might break a few plates just so I can buy her this set again.
