I recently ordered this pan, wondering if it would be worth the money. I have a smooth cooktop and my larger saute pans don't have flat bottoms which causes the pans to spin when I stir very annoying. This problem is solved with this pan! It is very heavy duty so warping won't happen. It is wonderful to cook in and cleans up easily. The cooking surface at the base is about 10 inches, and at the top the pan is about 13". I chose this particular pan because I knew I would be able to cook a wide variety of meals in it. My smothered pork chops were awesome when cooked in this pan. I'm hooked!

After using it for a month, it has overtaken the Calphalon non stick as the everyday pan. Cooking is even and although i was initially scared about clean up it is a breeze. Th biggest test was cooking sausage that was sticking to the pan. Soaking with Bar keepers friend and a quick wipe was all it needed. This is my first piece of All Clad and I am a believer. It is worth the extra money, no questions asked. I m not wealthy and buying these by the piece so it is worth waiting and buying quality.

Best Deals for All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch Braiser Pan

Like the other reviewers, this Brasier held title as "most used pan" in our kitchen. It's great because it's so versitile in terms of cooking down big piles of leafy greens, browning meats, cooking stews and large quantities of sauces. So for 13 years, it reigned supreme in our kitchen.

It fell only to the All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch French Skillet we recenlty purchased. The pans are in fact quite similar, but this 13" diameter pretty much maxes out our cooktop, and the aforementioned skillet does a better job of containing whatever we're cooking and stirring and mixing.

But the brasier still has its uses, particluarly with the stewier and saucier stuff that needs to be kept scraped from the edges. And the domed lid does in fact contain extra "stuff" as well as trap moisture in and drip it back into the pan.

If I had the choice of only one, I'd pick the French skillet. But this brasier has proved its versatility and is only challenged when it comes to making the largest possible quanity of something.

I don't really feel the need to expound upon the qualities of All-Clad that we've come to expect. They've all been great quality, with heavy weight and even heat spread, and nice finishes that are easy to scrub clean. This pan has been no exception.

Honest reviews on All-Clad Stainless 13-Inch Braiser Pan

I love using this pan for numerous recipes. Fits perfect on my ceramic top stove where I use it at least once a week. Great for sauteing (sp?) and then pop in the oven as a casserole. Use it often for stir fry. Cleans up wonderfully. Once in a while I'll clean with Bar Keeper's Friend (available at Wal-Mart) and it looks like new! Pricey, but considering how often I actually use it and knowing it will last my lifetime and more, it is worth it. Also, something actually made in the good ole USA!
