we use this tray for bacon almost every day wonderful. in our hands, we drape 6-8 pieces of bacon over one or two of the racks, and it cooks in 3-5 minutes in the microwave. MUCH less greasy. To help with clean up, i put a piece of paper towel on the bottom of the tray, as well as one covering the bacon. And i often zap enough bacon for several breakfasts to save time and cut down on the smell. Higly recommended.

Don't put on 12 or even 9 strips of bacon per load. Put on 6, so that you get even cooking and reliable times. Try running your microwave for @ 1 minute per strip of bacon for consistent results. If you have a second one, you can load that up and be ready with the second one when the first is done. I do a package of thick bacon at a time and freeze it. It has a handy storage design.

I hung the bacon over the rack and found that it cooks and remains in that position. Next time I will use a long strip of bacon and lay it over all the racks, hoping it will cook, and crisp, straight and not halved over. The unit does drain the grease out, and that is what I was seeking.

It is kinda a "Mickey Mouse" thing---a cheapo--I could have purchased one cheaper at Wal Mart, and should have done so.
