I tried this rectangle holder on my 4 metal handle carbon steel and lightweight Chinese cast iron woks (all from Wok Shop, Amazon). These are deeper that the angular holders, and fit the wok handles all the way to the wok edge. If this holder gets hot, a cheap pot holder over it works fine.
The big plus for me is the safety issue. On the kitchen stove the wok handles rarely get hot enough to cause a bad burn. On the outdoor Big Kahuna (Amazon $79) the woks, or any pots or skillets, get very hot as do the handles. Having one of these holders in blue or red on a hot handle is a great warning that the handles are hot. This has prevented several bad burns when someone didn't realize the handles, and pot, skillet or wok, was still hot enough to cause nasty burns. This alone is worth the price, the fact they work so well is added value. I just found this in red, and ordered it with a second red angled one, giving me 2 of each. I may get more if I start using a couple woks, skillets or DO's at the same time on the grill and Kahuna, for warning.

I purchased both of the assist handle covers since some folks seemed to have a problem with one or the other not fitting as well. Since I thought they were both relatively inexpensive I decided to give them both a try. They seem to fit equally well although I like this one better than the other because it's a bit thicker and easier to grasp. Both of them stayed on the pan equally well though so I think it's a matter of personal preference.
