It's hard to tell from the photos, but this pan is built from substantially thicker metal than most. That means more even heat distribution and less chance of burning and sticking. I also like that this pan has no rivets inside to catch food or make stirring difficult. Riveted handles may be trendy, but they're dysfunctional. This pan's rubberized handle is firmly secured without rivets, and that's a good thing.

The nonstick coating works well, but can be scratched by metal utensils--don't ever use anything harder than plastic or silicone in this pan. (I learned that lesson the hard way and had to buy another pan.)

My only criticism: the "Thermopoint heat indicator" is a joke. It's a little liquid-crystal dot set in the base of the handle the changes color at a certain (unspecified) temperature. Trouble is, after about three months of use it turns a uniform muddy color and stays that way. In short, it's a useless gimmick. But otherwise, this is an excellent pan.

I've been using this pan for a little over a decade now and the non-stick coating has yet to chip or crack. This feat in and of itself is amazing because I don't take every good care of any of my cookware like I should. My pan has been dropped too many times to count, thrown in the dishwasher almost every time, scoured when particularly tough food is stuck on, and has been scraped with forks and spoons when cooking. There are only thing that has ever stuck to my pan is when I cook scrambled eggs, but even then I just let the pan cool and most of it scrapes away. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and will be buying a bigger fry pan as soon as my college budget allows :)
