Judging by the description, the picture, and the price, I thought these were made of foam-rubber. I was pretty surprised when these arrived since they are made of standard-grade felt. You can get the same felt at your local hobby and craft store for about .35 a sheet. I have tons of it for projects around the house so I compared the thickness and weight. Bingo! Same product... only difference is these so-called protectors are pre-printed and cut out into shapes.

I tried them between my large and heavy Polish Pottery serving dishes I keep stacked in my Butler. They were not thick enough to keep from accidentally banging the edges together. Only one of the pads worked because the ends reached fully up and over the sides of the dishes. These pads also would not fully protect my Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware. Granted, these are heavy pieces, but this is why I was looking for a thick and spongy set of protectors preferably foam, which would also be washable, which these are not.

I almost gave them 3 stars since these would work for dishes or light-weight cookware or glass (like glass Pyrex bowls) but the price for what you get is ridiculous...why pay $11 for $1 worth of disposable felt? Save yourself some money and get inexpensive 10"x8" felt sheets instead. I use these sheets for padding my "company" dinner dishes and it works great. I cut the felt sheets in half to use between the dinner plates so it only costs about .18 per plate protector.

Trust me, you'll be able to protect all your light-weight cookware and dishes with the 30 or so pieces of regular felt you can get for the same price as these three protectors. I'll probably just look for some bigger pieces of felt (or use multiple pieces of my regular-sized felt sheets) to protect my larger and heavier pieces of cookware and serving dishes described above. This would be environmentally friendlier than using foam rubber anyway. :-)

They work as expected I would review the description again for dimensions, as these were much larger than I thought they would be. (They dwarf my larger pots/frying pans.)

i bought some brand new, better quality cookware, and needed something to place in between them while stacked up. i have a small kitchen, so stacking is my only choice. these have proven to do the trick, this order in fact is my 3rd box of them because i use them for my platters etc. as well. i have also placed them under my plant pots to protect them from scratching my counter tops..........multiple uses around the house. rinse off any dust from the cabinets and air dry. upkeepit that simple...........

My boyfriend's parents use paper towel between their pots and pans, so this wasn't a super necessity for them. I bought it for them because I knew they would still be able to use it even if they would never buy it for themselves. The paper towel probably does almost as good of a job but it's a hell of a lot cheaper. These are really cute and my complaint is that I think they should be sold in larger packs and for a slightly better price. (two sets for $15?)

Either way, if you're thinking you might like them, you probably will. Most people have more than 4 pots though, so it's just not enough, and who wants to buy enough packages to protect all their pots?
