I received this as part of a set from my husband, who knew I'd been drooling over the Le Creuset lineup for years now. If you're like me and can't visualize 3 1/2 quarts, the pot is about 8 1/2" in diameter and just under 4" deep. I use this all the time and couldn't be happier food cooks evenly and stays plenty hot enough for second helpings, and it all cleans up with soap and water. The handles on the sides do get hot so be careful with those. The color on mine is a little brighter than I'd expected but the gradation is really pretty. Overall, this is a fantastic piece that should last approximately forever and I love it.
