The Tramontina Prima 5 Quart 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Base Covered Dutch Oven is very high quality. It has a thick bottom that prevents the burning/baking so common in other thinner pans. It is also easy to clean.

Note: The top is steel even though it appears to be glass in the illustration. A steel top is less likely to break, and we prefer the steel top.

I love this pan and how it works, I love that its heavy enough without being too heavy for us people with problems. its a great size, browns beautifully and tramontina was an excellent company to deal with. I had the wrong pan the first time around and they helped me find the right one. Returned the first one without a problem too.

It heats quickly and holds the heat well. I have a glass top electric stove. Can go from stove top to oven. Food such as rice does not scorch easily as in thinner pots. Heavy steel that cleans easily and stays bright and shiny. Can even be used for deep frying so long as you don't over fill--no more than 1/3 to 1/2 full of oil and leaving at least 1 inch lower than top of pot after adding whatever you are frying. If product will foam or splatter, you want a lower level of oil or smaller amount to fry at a time. I like that it cuts down on splattering that occurs with a frying pan.

I think I am in love with this pot. The weight, the feel, and the evenness of cooking are absolutely spectacular. Cleanup is easy. This cookware feels substantial and makes browning a breeze. I use it on an induction stovetop. Highly recommended.
