I have always baked my brownies and blondies in a Pyrex. But since I bought this pan, I can't believe how I ever did without it. Brownies and blondies cook evenly and to perfect consistency, and don't take as long as they do in the glass. And the best part is that you always have even, straight edges that look pretty when you cut up the treats. Also great for making birthday cakes and the likes. This pan should be one of your kitchen staples!!

Several years ago I purchased a Simply Calphalon set for about the same price as this single Calphalon Classic Bake Pan. While only time will tell whether this particular pan will last as long as the Simply Calphalon I can say right now that this pan bakes just as well. Also its Nonstick surface seems somehow non-stickier (if this is possible). The quality of the Calphalon Classic also seems better...maybe it's just the bake pan's very aesthetically appealing design. In any case I can highly recommend this pan.

We have virtually all Calphalon in our kitchen for our nonstick pots and pans. We bought this piece in 2009 (along with the Calphalon Classic Bakeware 8-Inch Square Nonstick Cake Pan) to replace the one we got when we were first married in 2000. The nonstick on the original pan was damaged by "someone" from using a metal utensil to cut brownies out. At any rate, this replacement one is very heavy duty like the original, but the difference is that the original had a darker nonstick surface. This one is uniform color on the outside and inside. It does not seem to affect the performance at all and the new one appears to be more durable than the original. "Someone" now only uses plastic knives to get the brownies out. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because, as others have mentioned, it is difficult to clean the corners.

Calphalon make exceptional baking pans. This one is of excellent quality, is heavy and has a wonderful non stick coating. I used it for the very first time the other day and it provided excellent results. I highly recommend it.
